At BB&E, We Believe in Shared Ownership and a Shared Vision for Success

The Ownership Advantage

At BB&E, success is something we build together. As an employee-owned company, BB&E team members are not just employees—they are owners. This ownership mindset creates a powerful connection between your work, the company’s success, and your own financial future.

When employees think and act like owners, the entire company benefits. Employee ownership fosters higher engagement, stronger collaboration, and smarter decision-making at every level. The result? A company that’s more innovative, more resilient, and better positioned for long-term growth.

As the business grows, the rewards come full circle. Our employee-owners share directly in that success through increased share value and financial returns—turning contributions into real, tangible outcomes.

Shared Ownership. Shared Vision. Real Results.

BB&E's ESOP Story

From the beginning, BB&E’s founders—Doug Barber, Tom Barzyk, and Aaron Etnyre—were committed to ensuring a meaningful transition of ownership that reflected BB&E’s core values and benefited our incredible team. On BB&E’s 21st anniversary in September 2023, the company evolved and transitioned ownership through the creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). In an industry dominated by mergers and acquisitions, an ESOP allows the original shared vision to become the reality of shared ownership, where all team members can thrive and participate in the firm’s success!

Shared Ownership—Shared Impact

At BB&E, Shared Ownership means more than having a stake in the company—it reflects a shared opportunity to engage with our communities and the world around us. Our Shared Impact initiative brings this commitment to life by turning ownership into action. BB&E has embraced the power of collective effort to respond to needs within our local communities and around the world. From community engagement to environmental stewardship, we’re using our shared vision to create real impact. Read more about some of these efforts on our News page.
