Demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship and the protection of our local wildlife along the seashore, BB&E Team Members joined forces with the 325th Civil Engineer Squadron, the 801 Red Horse Training Squadron, and the Society of Military Engineers Panama City Chapter for the monthly beach cleanup at Tyndall Air Force Base.

Volunteers scoured the shoreline and sand dunes, some walking over five miles, collecting a wide range of trash and plastic waste debris. The haul included items as large as mats and wood pallets, along with tiny toys, bottle caps, gloves, hats, and electronics.

The cleanup effort directly supports the Tyndall Natural Resources team’s mission to safeguard the coastal environment. It also helps to protect several new sea turtle nests that are being closely monitored this year along Tyndall’s pristine beach. By removing litter and potential hazards, volunteers helped to ensure the safe passage of sea turtle hatchlings to the Gulf of America. Thank you to everyone who came together to create Shared Impact!
