History
BB&E is a civil, energy, and environmental engineering business headquartered in Northville, Michigan. Douglas Barber, Tom Barzyk, and Aaron Etnyre founded the company in 2002, with an initial focus in environmental engineering in support of federal clients. Over the years, we continually grew and diversified our team and offerings to become a full-service consulting firm.
On BB&E’s 21st anniversary in September 2023, the company evolved and transitioned ownership to our team members through the creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This change allowed the company to share ownership, reward our people, and enhance our culture. BB&E currently has 375+ staff active in over a dozen countries. We are committed to providing technically excellent client service in a responsive, cost-effective, and professional manner. Our Corporate motto is Better, Faster, Different and our vision is to be a passionate team of consulting engineers and professionals recognized for delivering solutions to our clients’ most difficult consulting and engineering needs.
BB&E proudly serves our federal and private sector clients including those in the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Interior (DOI), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), automotive industry, manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical industry, and many others.
