Project overview

BB&E provides support for the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act/Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (RCRA/CERCLA) process, including the RCRA Facility Investigation/Remedial Investigation report, Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) report for a Non-Time Critical Removal Action (NTCRA), Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA), ERA, Conceptual Site Groundwater Model, and Removal Action Work Plans. We assist the DOI in project planning, review of cleanup strategies, evaluating data quality objectives, attending strategy and technical review meetings, maintaining the Administrative Records (AR), and providing support for community involvement meetings. In addition to these services, BB&E provides construction oversight of the implementation of the Phase I Design of the groundwater remediation system, which includes verification that construction activities are performed according to the approved work plan. Typical oversight activities include inspection of complex injection well installations, recovery well installations, monitoring well installations, overseeing step testing, injectivity testing, geophysical testing, video inspection of the wells, construction of recovered groundwater conditioning plant, construction of injection complex, installation of conveyance piping, and jack and bore activities. BB&E also supports DOI by providing assistance during Technical Working Group meetings, Cultural & Historical Properties Management Plan Work Group meetings, and Consultative Meetings with the Native American Tribes that have ties to the area.
